David Lawson performs one-man shows all around New York City and across the country. His show Nazis and Me is about his encounters with hate groups:

Lawson's work hosting
and curating storytelling shows for
Queens Theatre has been profiled by
NBC New York, Time Out New York, and American Theatre Magazine.

For six years he hosted the monthly Astoria Bookshop Storytelling Show
which was featured in the New York Times.
Lawson now hosts
The Vino Theater Storytelling Show,
a free storytelling open mic, the first Tuesday of every month.


Lawson teaches workshops where students learn to write and perform one-person shows.

Lawson's writing has been
published by Original Works Publishing.
He's performed on the popular storytelling podcast Kevin Allison's RISK!
And live onstage on the storytelling shows Mortified and Mara Wilson's What Are You Afraid Of? and on comedy shows with performers from SNL, Last Week Tonight, and The Daily Show.
Lawson has directed several one-person shows including Richard Cardillo’s one-man show Invisibility that won the Audience Choice Award at the 2019 FRIGID New York Festival
